EFM - Ethernet First Mile
EFM, or Ethernet First Mile, offers businesses the opportunity to greatly increase their connectivity speed and open up a wide range of possibilities without the large up-front and on-going charges associated with current products that provide a similar service. EFM provides download and upload speeds from 2 meg up to 20 meg, with a guaranteed contention ratio of 1:1. This enables an EFM circuit to replace existing expensive lease lines in many circumstances. As the upload and download speeds are the same, it also lends itself well to multi-site applications for voice & data and can be used as an alternative to ISDN30 in conjunction with SIP trunks.
