Your lines are critical to your interaction with your customers & suppliers.

There are multiple types of telephone lines that businesses can deploy. These range from PSTN, ISDN, or SIP (lines through the internet). There are various reasons why you would want to implement one or several of these routes for your voice calls. These include cost management, improved reliability, or for your organisation’s disaster recovery plans.

Should you be removing your trusted ISDN lines for SIP?

Many Telecoms companies are contacting businesses to tell them that ISDN will be switched off imminently! This is not the case, BT have not set a date and have only speculated that 2025 may be a target date. You should check before you make the move to SIP. SIP is a good product and if you have excellent fibre broadband or a lease-line, it can be a good choice. However, ISDN is still the most reliable line type in service and therefore the choice to move should be an educated one. Check with our team to see what type of lines will best suit your business.
